What is this?

Spiritual Direction is a relational practice of attentive listening, reflective discernment, and evocative dialogue in an environment of empathic attunement, where one may explore the conscious and unconscious dimensions of their personal experience, and cultivate a relationship with the sacred or transpersonal aspect of life. It is an approach that seeks to tune into a person's spiritual journey and their relationship to the transcendent, be it Divinity, a Higher Power, or the Mystery that lies beyond rational perception. It is designed to give space to the complexities of the spiritual life and the gifts of insight, wisdom, and guidance that can emerge. It can be a transformative process of self-exploration and understanding that can lead to greater clarity, insight, and release in one's journey of inner growth and healing.
